Pedraforca is one of the most emblematic mountains in Catalunya. Its name alludes to its strange shape (“stone fork”). The upper ridge has an elevation of 2.506m and it is a mythical mountain for hikers and climbers. People say that it is also a magical mountain. A legend tells that during the night of 31st December, bitches meet at Pedraforca for partying all night.
This not an easy mountain and I did not try to reach the top this time. I just wanted enjoy its landscapes and to hike at high altitude to prepare the Inca Trail, two months later. Actually, now that I think about it, this can be considered one of my first hikes!
